Vacancy: 01 Basic requirements  Experience 8-10 Years  Qualification B.E./B.Tech or M. Tech Discipline Civil  Detail Knowledge and working experience in AIS / GIS Substation layout and Civil / Structural design engineering for various voltage level 33kV, 132kV, 230kV, 400kV etc.  Knowledge of materials, analytical software (STAAD, SAFE, ETABS, SAP or equivalent software)  Hands-on experience in interpretation of geo-technical report, design of area development works (grading, drainage, roads, fence etc.)  Design concepts / hands-on experience and knowledge of Substation structural steel / reinforced concrete design (foundation and superstructures) including steel gantries, equipment support structures and towers Familiarity and application of IS codes and standards, American, British, European codes of practices.  Knowledge on electrical codes materials and interfaces are preferred Management of proposal and detail engineering in multiple projects Guidance and mentoring of project teams,  Inter-disciplinary coordination and troubleshooting knowledge in with Substation projects preferred. Good communication skills to interact with Customer and project management skills preferred. Technical responsibilities:  Handle the Civil / Structural design & engineering activities for the assigned project(s) with effective co-ordination with other disciplines viz., Electrical, MEP, Supply Chain, Project Execution for obtaining necessary inputs, interface checks and timely delivery.  Effectively co-ordinate with the external Design Consultants for assignments outsourced and ensure proper compliance to scope and Technical requirements within the budgeted quantities and deliverables within agreed timelines.  Ensure management of activities budget, deliver on time and maintaining a high quality of engineering.  Provide technical support throughout the development phase of projects from tender stage to Detail engineering Preparation of Engineering Plan aligned with the project, implementing the plan, monitoring and control. Preparation of master list of deliverables covering the intended scope of works. Facilitate the Engineering solutions or inputs for overall cost optimisation. Co-ordinate with engineering team and external Design Consultants for timely deliverables with optimum quantities. Co-ordinate with Client / Consultant & obtain approval of Engineering deliverables. Ensure completion of assigned works and meeting committed schedules & timelines.  Capable of reading the Contract specification in a wholesome manner and supporting the Business Unit / Project team for enabling optimisation, variations and contractual claims. Preparing optimum designs including those from external consultants where applicable.  Ensuring quantity control & optimization of Civil & Structural quantities Co-ordinate with the Engineering team at project location and ensure a smooth work execution between the teams at multiple locations Proactive interaction with project execution team for resolving site issues if any related to Engineering. Coordination with Site Team and Client to meet the requirements of design and drawings  Preparation of BOQ and verify with respect to data base of previous similar projects Ensure design drawings are done based on relevant standards and codes on general engineering practices without compromising on quality. Review of critical issues as required by Project team. Participate in the periodical review as required with project heads / stake holders for Engineering Progress and resolution of engineering issues.  Prepare Designer’s risk register for each project highlighting any inherent design riskdetails with appropriate mitigation measures. Software skills: AutoCAD, Dialux and ETAP

Technical skills: Single line diagrams, transformer sizing, cable sizing, etc.

Layouts: Plan and section layout, lighting layout, earthing layout, cable routing layout, lightning protection layout, etc.

Preparation of specification and datasheet, for various electrical equipment, should be able to review vendor offer/ drawing.

Note: Experience in Panel designing is not required.

 Preparing the TDC by seeing the drawing and client requirement  preparing the forming procedures & Heat Treatment Procedure.  Getting approval from client for above procedures before ground inspection or before getting the blanks under the product forming process.  Preparing the Quality Control Plan as per client requirement. Ground Inspection:  Material Identification  Incoming Inspection  Visual Inspection of materials  Conducting Inspection of Blank to third party (If required)  Checking the blank size of received material  Checking the thickness of blank received before processing towards the production.  Stenciling the material identification marks on each blank which will go under production.  Preparing and maintaining record of Material receiving Inspection and Material Identification. Process Inspection:  Inspecting the product at the time of production on press  Undergo Heat treatment of product according to material requirement and client requirement.  Checking the thickness of product at the process interval of times while in production.  Cross verifying the product profile at the production for further rectification.  Checking the final profile while the job is removed at the time of production stage.  Checking the product visually and encountering the grinding process should be performed to produce.  Checking the Hardness after Heat treatment. Internal Inspection:  Complete profile check & dimensional measurements as per the drawing & client requirement  Checking the complete thickness of the product before giving a final inspection call to the client  Preparing Dimensional Inspection Report, Thickness Report, DP Report & HT Charts.  Sending the internal inspection report to the client to offer the final dimensional and complete product check before dispatching. Final Inspection:  Witnessing the product to the third-party agency (AIA) or client quality inspector  Performing the thickness test in front of third-party agency (AIA) or client quality and visual inspection of product  Performing the NDT process at the time of inspection.  Preparing the documentation of product to get the clearance from client to dispatch the product. Other Responsibilities:  Handling the complete IBR (Indian Boiler Regulation) process (Government Projects) form material identification to complete dispatch of the product.  Getting the FORM III & IV IBR Documentation form IBR and handling it to the client.  Interaction with the clients.  Helping hands to other departments in every aspect.  Preparing MTRs for Valves.  Preparing and Maintaining Calibration Register.  Coordination with Destructive & Non-Destructive Laboratories for testing.  Preparing forming Schedule for the Material Received.  Coordination with outsourcing Heat treatment facilities.  Preparing and maintaining stage wise quality documents  RT Film Reviewing and reporting.  Welding Parameters explaining to welders before initiating work.
